Our Process

Free Introductory Phone Call

A free 15-minute introductory phone call will be scheduled at your convenience to determine if the clinician will be the best fit for your child. If the decision is made to proceed, scheduling an initial evaluation will be the next step.

Initial Evaluation

The initial evaluation will be approximately one hour in duration. Depending on your selected modality, the clinician will come to your house or complete testing using a telehealth format. Testing will be composed of formal and informal assessments depending on the areas of need expressed to the clinician.

Begin Plan of Care

Once the initial evaluation has been completed and the clinician and family have agreed on a plan of care, treatment sessions focused around the discussed goal areas can be scheduled.

Primary Services

  • Evaluations

As part of the initial evaluation, intake paperwork will be completed on our portal. Intake paperwork will provide us with birth, medical, and service history, as well as other personal information. After completing all necessary documentation on the portal the clinician will schedule a time to complete informal and formal testing in your home or via telehealth.

  • In-home Sessions

Individual speech and language therapy sessions will be provided in the comfort of your home. A clinician will come to your house for a 50-minute therapy session. The option for 30-minute sessions may be available, depending on the clinician’s proximity to the client. The session will focus on your child’s needs using a strengths-based, child-led approach, while also providing parent education and involvement to aid in carryover of skills.

  • Telehealth Sessions

Individual speech and language therapy sessions can be provided via telehealth. This option is available for both 30-minute and 50-minute sessions. Telehealth is a great option for some, but may not be the best service delivery model for all. Eligibility for telehealth will be determined by the clinician.

Additional Services

Screeners

Screeners provide us with a brief snapshot of your child’s present communication skills, which will help us determine if further evaluation and/or treatment is necessary.

Parent education

Parent education meetings can be scheduled outside of your child’s regularly scheduled treatment sessions to discuss any questions or helpful tools to implement at home.

At-home programs

Although some treatment materials may be provided for at-home practice to aid in carryover of skills, additional materials may be requested.

Report writing

An initial evaluation report will be provided as part of your initial evaluation cost, however additional reports such as progress notes can be requested.

Consultations with providers

Consultations with other providers on your child’s care team can be arranged to obtain a more well rounded picture of present levels and progress, and to ensure providers are on the same page in regards to your child’s plan of care.
